Inaugurates new building of NDC and lays foundation stone of Nursing Colleges in Jammu & Kashmir and Andhra Pradesh
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya also inaugurated the newly constructed building of the National Dental Commission in New Delhi. He has said that the government aims to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to all. He said this while virtually laying the foundation stone of four nursing colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. He said, the services of Indian nurses are highly recognized abroad, hence it is important to bring Indian nursing education at par with global standards. He said, 157 nursing colleges are being built across the country. He said, the government is also committed to increasing the number of dental and nursing colleges in the country.
He also launched the National Dental Register (NDR), a dynamic database of all dentists in the country, which will capture data of dental professionals covering their journey in dentistry. It will provide unique identifier ID to all dentists practicing in India after verification from the respective State Dental Council. The NDR will also help citizens identify dental professionals verified by State Dental Councils and facilitate improvement in dental care delivery across the country.
