A compilation of some of the rarest records is presented below, which can inspire people to do more and better in the coming months. The top 10 records include Surya Namaskar with the support of a chair, Super Randonneur surgeon, Chalo Mumma walkathon, pregnancy fashion show, all-women electric intercity bus, non-stop radio show on sustainability, menstrual hygiene, and road safety awareness, Maha Datta Yajna and cake for Ambedkar Jayanti. Surya Namaskar with a chair
The record for the maximum number of people performing Surya Namaskar with the support of a chair was set by Trinetri Yog Center of Vadodara, Gujarat. A total of 350 people of different age groups gathered together and each performed 108 Surya Namaskar while using a chair as support.
Super Randonneur titles in 5 years
The record for the maximum number of Super Randonneur titles won in 5 years was set by Dr. Pawan Dhingra (54) of Ludhiana, Punjab. He won 31 Super Randonneur titles in 142 BRM events amounting to 55,000 km within 5 years from May 2017 to October 2022 in different cities of various states in India. These were organized by Audax India Randonneurs clubs under the guidance of Audax Club Parisian (France).
Chalo Mumma Walkathon
The record for the maximum number of mothers and children participating in a walkathon was set by Aarti Awdhesh Maheshwari (51) of Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The walkathon titled ‘Chalo Mumma Walkathon’ was held to commemorate Mother’s Day and saw participation from 300 mother and child pairs who walked for 3 km from 6 AM to 8 AM to celebrate the bonding between mother and child. Many social groups, NGO's and societies also participated in the walkathon.
Largest Pregnancy Fashion Show
The record for the largest pregnant women fashion show contest was set by Kinder Hospitals, a unit of Kindorama Healthcare Pvt Ltd, Kochi, Kerala, at the Gokulam Park Hotel & Convention Centre, Kochi. A total of 100 pregnant women participated in the show conducted on May 14, 2023, with a view to celebrating and spreading awareness about pregnancy and motherhood.
First all-woman electric intercity bus
The record for India's first-ever all-woman electric intercity bus was set by GreenCell Mobility Private Limited, Delhi/Mumbai. The NueGo Electric Bus piloted by a woman driver and women crew started its journey from the Kashmere Gate ISBT Delhi on May 16, 2023, at 11.56 AM and reached Agra at 17.45 PM. 28 women passengers travelled on this bus, which was a unique feature.
Longest non-stop live radio show on sustainability
The record for the longest non-stop live radio show on sustainability was set by Radio Manav Rachna 107.8 FM at the Manav Rachna Educational Institutions, Faridabad, Haryana. Five RJs conducted a total of 150 hours 1 minute and 20 seconds of non-stop live radio show wherein experts from various walks of life participated and apprised the listeners on sustainability based on Sustainable Development Goals in all spheres of life. The attempt started at 10.03 am on June 29, 2023, and ended at 4.04 pm on July 5, 2023, after covering a total of 150 hours.
Menstrual hygiene awareness workshops for girls
The record for menstrual hygiene awareness workshops conducted for the maximum number of adolescent girls was set by Vandana Garg (39) of Kolkata, West Bengal. The workshop was organised on May 28, 2023, at Shyam Garden Salkia Bandhaghat Howrah, wherein a total of 1675 adolescent girls participated in the workshop and were made aware of menstrual hygiene.
Pledge to support road safety awareness
The record for the maximum number of people pledged to support road safety awareness while driving was set by 5K Car Care Pvt Ltd of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The record attempt was held across all the traffic signals in the state from March 8 till April 2, 2023, wherein 1 Lakh people took the pledge to support road safety awareness.
Maximum fire pits to perform Maha Datta yajna
The record for maximum fire pits (havan kund) used to perform Maha Datta Yajna for Lord Dattatreya was set by Jay Shankar Seva Mandal of Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. A total of 1111 fire pits were created by the devotees at the Shri Sadguru Narayan Maharaj Dutt Sansthan Trust in bet Kedgaon, Daund, Pune between 9 am to 1 pm on the auspicious occasion of the 138th birth anniversary of Shree Sadguru Narayan Maharaj.
Largest cake to celebrate Ambedkar anniversary
The record for the largest cake baked to commemorate Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's birth anniversary was set by Aadhar Berojgar Seva Sahakari Sanstha Ltd, of Mumbai, Maharashtra. The cake, weighing 132 kg and measuring 16 feet in length, and 3 feet in width, was made and cut at Samaj Mandir Hall, Subhash Nagar, Chembur East, Mumbai on the occasion of Ambedkar's 132nd birth anniversary.
